Large format, in-camera paper positives are unique pieces of Art. They are not created for reproduction, though they could be scanned and reproduced digitally, this would be missing the point. The final media was on location hit by light physically refracting off of the subject. This direct physical connection with the subject, and singular artifact gives these prints a value beyond a standard print.
There is little room for editing, the exposure and development must be perfect to achieve a desirable print. At the same time, the development process is quick (relative to producing prints from a silver gelatin negative) and quite simple.
